How We Met

We met in 2011 when we were juniors in high school. We feel God has called us to adopt, it was never an “if,” it was always a “when”.

Chris

I am the middle child out of 5 kids. I see myself as a very loving and caring person with an immense love for those around me. I am a pretty easy going person who always tries to look on the positive side or find the humor in everything I can. My nieces all talk about me as being, “Silly Uncle Chris” who always has them smiling and laughing. I’ve been a Christian since I was little and my faith has shaped me to be who I am today.

Kayla

I am the middle child out of 3 kids and grew up in a Christian household. I am a big people person with an artistic outlook and enjoy helping people feel better about themselves, which is why I chose cosmetology as my career. I prefer an active lifestyle whether it’s hiking, running around with the nieces, walks, or going to the gym. I try to always look on the bright side and love making “dad jokes”.

Activities We Enjoy

Our absolute favorite things to do are hiking and camping. We really enjoy being in each other’s company whether it’s going on a trip, walking around the park, or doing chores and grocery shopping. We also really like to learn and try new things such as painting, visiting museums, or trying to cook a new recipe together.

Our Home

We live in a moderately sized townhome in an area with lots of amenities that are great for children to use and grow up playing with. Some of the amenities are: a pool, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, and a 200 acre nature preserve with lots of walking trails.
