Steve & Anna

How we met:

Steve and Anna met through mutual friends in college. They sat next to each other at a game night and then Steve kept finding ways to talk to Anna. They dated for about 2 years before getting married in 2014 after they had both graduated. They knew they wanted kids and have been so grateful to welcome their first kiddo into their lives in 2023 through adoption. They have regular contact with Benny’s birth mom and are grateful for the opportunity to connect.

Both sets of Anna and Steve’s parents live close to them, and they see them often. Family is important to all of them and they are thankful they can spend many days together.

Steve is passionate about his family, his faith, being outside and active. He is an attorney at a small firm where he tries to glorify God through his interactions with others. He was thrilled to run the Boston marathon and ski the American Birkebeiner in 2026 and is always training for something. He enjoys being a dad, teaching Benny new things all the time, and learning that parenting is difficult sometimes but so rewarding and unique.

Anna loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, and cooking. Benny is a such a joy and Anna is grateful to stay home full-time with him. She enjoys working in the garden, which she is constantly enlarging. Anna is active in their church, volunteering and joining various activities. She regularly gets together with other moms of young kids at parks for playdates.

Benjamin (Benny) is a happy three-year-old. He loves being outside, any vehicle, and playing with mom and dad. He talks all the time, mostly about trucks. His favorite food is pancakes, but he eats pretty much everything. He is tough and adventurous outside, climbing wherever he can. He is a big fan of swinging and playing in sand.

We have one cat named Opie. He is sweet, especially to Steve who is his favorite person. He follows Anna and Benny around all day and sits just out of reach so he can watch them. His favorite time is when Benny is asleep so he can get all the cuddles from Steve that he wants.

Our home is a ranch style home in a quiet suburb. We know most of our neighbors and people are very friendly. There are lots of parks within walking distance and we visit them regularly. We spend most of our time in our kitchen and living room. Our yard is large for our neighborhood and we spend a lot of time outside.
