JD & Courtney
How We MeetHow We Met We met at a New Year’s Eve party through mutual friends. We went on our first date with the same mutual friends and were even in each other’s weddings. We dated for 3 years before getting married on JD’s grandparent’s anniversary. We have been married for 8 years now. We have the same morals and values, support each others dreams, and love doing life together.
JD’s passion lies in being a husband, father, farmer, and working as a Junior Sales Consultant in Orthopedic trauma. He is the team lead in the area for his company and enjoys helping assist in surgeries to improve the quality of life for patients. In JD’s free time, you can find him in a tractor or combine, in a tree stand hunting deer, or teaching the kids various sports.
Courtney is a loving, caring, wife and mother. Being a mom is the biggest blessing in her life. She is also an ER nurse. She has always had a passion for helping others and enjoys working with all walks of life that come through the ER. Courtney is active in the children’s ministry at church and in her free time she enjoys reading, playing with the kids outside, doing puzzles, family movie and popcorn nights, golfing and spending time with extended family.
Nova is our oldest and is 7 years old. She is our little mother hen and is always watching out for her siblings. She loves all things girly, from doing hair, makeup, painting nails and playing ‘spa day’. She loves learning new things, including dance, softball, basketball and volleyball. Nova has such a kind heart and wears her heart on her sleeve.
Knox is our oldest son and is 5 years old. He has a love for the outdoors; swimming, biking, driving go-carts, riding with dad in the tractor, and playing baseball to name just a few. Knox has a love for learning and taught himself how to read and play piano. He is always asking why and how things work.
Vayda is 4 years old and is our free spirited child. She dances to the beat of her own drum. Vayda can make anyone laugh and loves being silly. You will always find her trying to make her siblings laugh and have fun. When she isn’t being silly, she loves to cuddle with mom or dad. She is working hard to learn her letters and write her name.
Kroix is our youngest and is 2 years old. We love this stage of childhood when his personality starts to take form. He keeps us on our toes every day since he likes to find mischief wherever he can. Kroix is starting to talk and it is so much fun to hear his new words and his big belly laugh.
We live on JD’s family farm where we renovated the home to make it our own. We were blessed to expand our home into 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a lot of room to play. We have a large front yard and a play set in the back. Our acreage is located in a rural farming community where we are only a few miles from the school and town activities.
We believe in leading by example and loving unconditionally. We teach our children right from wrong by setting age appropriate limits and boundaries but still show grace and compassion. We strive to teach our children to be humble, kind, grateful, and to love the Lord.
