TJ & Jen

How we met:
We first met at our college age bible study at our church. After spending time together at game nights and college events, we realized we had a lot in common. After a year of dating, we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. In the spring of 2010, T.J. organized a scavenger hunt strategically leading Jen to different special locations in our small town with a final stop at our favorite park where T.J. waiting with a ring on the bridge to propose. T.J. is very thoughtful and has made Jen feel special throughout their marriage. Jen knows that the same thought and care will go into raising Grace and future children God might bless us with.
We were married in May of 2011. Over the years, we have had many great adventures together, and we are excited to continue these adventures with Grace and future children. Adoption has always been something we felt called to do. When we found out we couldn't have biological children, we felt God pulling on our hearts to start the adoption process. Our first adoption of Grace in 2024 was such a great experience! Grace has been such a blessing to us both. We are excited to start the process again to grow our family. We can't wait to see how God leads in this process!

T.J. grew up in a very rural community in the Midwest. He has two sisters; his parents were married for 25 years before his dad died in 2012. T.J.'s mom has since remarried. T.J. has an older married sister with three children, a niece and two nephew. He also has a younger sister. T.J. values family and keeping in close contact.

T.J. is a handyman and loves to work on projects around the house or in his shop. T.J. received his associate's degree by the time he graduated from High School. He then continued for his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. T.J. has worked as a Software Engineer for the past 14 years.

Jen grew up in a small town in the Midwest. She has two older brothers. Her parents have been married for 47 years. She is an Aunt to three nephews and three nieces. Family has always been important to her; regardless of where she's been, she keeps them a top priority.
Jen's favorite time of year is fall. She loves the outdoors and staying active, but she also loves to cuddle up inside with a blanket, a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. Jen graduated from high school in 2008 and received her Registered Nursing Degree in 2010 and Master's in Nursing Administration in 2016. Jen has previously worked in Healthcare Administration prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom after the adoption of Grace.

Teddy, our mild-mannered Yorkie, has been a cherished companion for 13-years. His calm and easy-going nature make him not only a joy to have around but also an exceptional friend for children. With the combination of affection and a calm demeanor this has created a lasting bond making him an integral part of our family.
